New Elf on the Shelf Idea: I think that its wise to install this on day two right after your Elf on the Shelf arrives! This Dollar Tree cell phone camera lens is EXTREMELY convincing and this is definitely one that you could use year after year!
Here is what it looks like without the printable surround on it. Its awesome that it comes with a clip on it so it is very easy to set up. I also bought the red USB cord and ran it from the clip to the center of the tree. It definitely helped this North Pole cam look even more real! (You’ll find both of these by the cell phone accessories at the Dollar Tree.)

HOW TO MAKE THE NORTHPOLE CAM:
You’ll just need to pick up two items from the Dollar Tree: 1) A Smartphone Lens 2) A USB Cable

Fortunately, because the lens has a clip on it, this is SUPER EASY to set up! Just clip the lens to your tree and the end of the USB cable. Then we ran the cable back to the middle of the tree:
Then print the free surround (link below), cut out and place and it will look like this:
Super easy! And hopefully it will help keep the kids in line all season (one can hope ;)
